Though the group’s inclusion as part of this year’s Lollapalooza is undoubtably a massive achievement, Chicago alt-rock outfit Makeshift Prodigy just graced another legendary hometown stage this past weekend. On the evening of Sunday, May 5th, while the rest of the city was reveling in drunken Cinco de Mayo debauchery, Makeshift Prodigy was performing a live set at the JBTV studios downtown.
Both the group’s JBTV and Lollapalooza performances come in support of Makeshift Prodigy’s latest effort, Illuminate, which dropped at the end of 2012 through Atlantic. Preview that effort with streams of ”Chasing Daylight” and ”Bittersweet Surrender” below, following the group’s Lollapalooza announcement visual. And catch Makeshift Prodigy on Sunday, August 4th at Lollapalooza in Grant Park.
